few days back, i went to swimming with my cousin and i got to listen to a conversation between 2 men in the showering room.

Background info: there has not been a blackout in medan city for many days so far and so is the area i'm living in.

A:"eh, u know that a market has just been burnt down just now [9 o'clock]?"
B:" reali? haiya!!! is it the entire market?"
A:"no lar, only 1 store near medan pusat"
I(Me):"cheh! I stay near there. Dont scare me!"[murmuring in my heart]
B:"ya lar...always power shutdown, dats y kena burnt down."

I:"huh? can someone enlighten me? no link leh"

then the two guys went to have shower. I was left puzzled and confused alone.

trip to pantai cermin

this morning, i went to pantai cermin/mirror beach. lol. wad a weird translation. anyway, it's a beach and it's a clean one. though the water is not as clear as those found in manado or lombok or bali. we ate at this restaurant which serves only seafood. there were so many bees flying arnd and my aunt, my biao jie and sister and the kids were screaming frantically, fearing they might be stung by the bees. i've seen enuf of bees back in east vale, condo in pasir ris, and i'm sick of them. I was definitely not as scared as them. One of the bees even rest on my head [hair] maybe becoz it smells good u knoe like hugo boss perfume. =p

The beach was quite crowded. The sands are crystal clear with peddlers moving around selling corns and hats and all sort of things. My mom didnt like beach so much like us, so she decided to avoid the sun. My sis and I were busy playing with hot sand and salty water and busy taking pictures with our handphone. it was a short journey and we had to return alredi.

on our way back, the journey started smoothly initially. Then half the way, upon approaching the high way, the traffic suddenly slowed down. I was then fully awake due to commotion and police siren. Wats going on ahead? isit some sort of car accident? true enuf, ahead the road, i quickly glanced at a lifeless body of a woman in her mid twenties. Her pair of eyes were staring blankly into the air, carrying with it an expression of shock, pain and somehow loneliness. Her limbs were broken with patches of blood here and there. I wondered the kinda shock and grievances when her family heard of her death. This seemed to be a hit-and-run accident coz i didnt notice any culprits being beaten up by the masses or car seized and burnt down. A typical scene that should not bewilder any of indonesians when accidents involving death of jaywalkers occur. Anyway, I was petrified, shocked and overwhelmed when I have to unfortunately stumble upon this kinda thing.

fatigue

yesterday, i felt like someone was punching my head. a terrible headache. i dunno whether it's the effect of contact lenses or wat. i decided not to do anything and slept early. so at 11 pm, i dozed off and woke up at arnd 2 am. i couldnt sleep until 5 am+...then, i woke up again at very late, arnd 1 pm WOW...and my headache is gone. hurray!!!!

i watched "the maid" the ghost show from spore. It's not at all scary though quite nice. But definitely, it's not a show which can make it to the oscar [as wat was claimed by the straits times which tends to be biased]. do u know that some ppl from LIFE! section can rate an album [lets say how to dismantle an atomic bomb] worse than mimi's emancipation and yet that same album of U2 won the album of the year from Grammy. Some friends of mine also said that the straits times is highly inaccurate in rating shows and songs. so dont be deterred from buying an album or watching a show just becoz of dat stupid rating things.

I noticed that lately, i have been watching lots of animal planet, national geog, discovery, mtv and so on. I am very sick of Indon channels becoz they only showcase sinetron, a typical poor-quality soap opera, which teach ppl bad things, pre marital sexual things and many other unrealistic things. and they also copy ideas from shows like wang zi bian qing wa or liu xing yuan. i find these shows are very much or less meaningless. Good thing is dat i start to love indonesian musics coz they are nice and are of good quality in terms of music.

the judges are not professional, but in terms of the quality of the performers, the participants of indonesian idol season 3 are definitely much better than dat of spore one. I cant believe it. Some gals [16 yrs old]actually sing like alicia keys or kelly clarkson. I mean it's not easy to have these kinda contestants in spore, from wat i watched previously. OMG!!! They are just GOOD and i just cant take my eyes off the scenes and i cant get that one out of my head!

ok...honestly, i havent been reading it. I have read up till chapter 17? cant remember though...coz i'm occupied for something else. but i promise not to waste my parents' hard-earned money and jolly well make sure i read it.

I cant believe i actually finish watching from episode 1 to 10 in like 2 days. and i also watched scary movie 4 the lame show which stole the ideas of many movies, including ju-on, war of the worlds, saw, village, mile, the rings and other, and making fun out of it. i would say that the previous scary movies are nicer. and i still have so many shows to watch.

i always like desp housewives not only becoz it shows the problems faced by ppl daily, but also the strong friendship among the 4 women; lynette, bree, gaby and susan. Personally, i love lynette for her brain. she always manipulates things to work her ways and uses nice [indecent] ways to get rid of ppl [most of the times unintentionally]. i love bree for her dignity, piousness and commitment to her family. gaby is special, she is someone who think for a short term, only realizing it false and late in regretting things but she will mourne over it when she really feels sorry for her...and she stops commiting adultery. susan is cute, protective, family-above-all kinda woman and she has become very mature in the 2nd season.despite the fact that she's a single parent, she stands strong. But above all these, they are united and they share things. trusting each other and this edie hu is not reali welcomed by the 4 of them always joins in the conversation, yet nvr spread rumour out of the "conference" room. I wonder such strong, passionate, altruistic kinda friendship exists in the world where they are always arnd to lend a comforting shoulder and a listening ear. i wish i have mine...[hey!!! not to say i didnt get close frenz to share things!!! in fact i have a few but nvr as good as those housewives]

home at last

i had to literally drag my feet and prepare all my things. the flight was far too early. i didnt wake my guardians or their sons up to lock the door. lucky, one of the housemates was gg to johor baru and she woke up very early. she suggested the idea to walk to mrt and took train to airport. it turned up to be a "brilliant" idea coz the elevator was out of order. so i had to throw my luggage all the way down to the underground...thanks yah! =p she felt bad anyway....quite an exp...

i arrived at the airport rather early, so i spent my time eating breakfast inside the terminal. cant remember the store offhand, i ate sandwiches wif orange juice. the store across played the song don't know why by norah jones, the sensation was so WOW. I mean it's so soothing and relaxing...

i tried to read my book the bourne ultimatum...seriously i think the author gave a wrong name/title to it. it shld be the "boredom" ultimatum. so boring, i almost dozed off in the waiting room u know! i guess i'm gonna skip dat book 1st. it cost me 18 bucks!

i bought angel and demon instead at the airport for my reading...havent started and i plan to start tonite. that bourne ultimatum will catch dust 1st. i wanna buy the gospel of judas. it's very interesting, but the price is unbearable, $47++...wow so ex somemore hard cover. wait till the price drop then i buy!

i slept from 10+ to 130 in the afternoon. then i accompanied my mom to this orphanage home. so poor thing. most of them are christians and they were having some sort of concert for good easter. i enjoyed the performance so much. some of the children are "unwanted" ones, the parents left them in front of the entrance [evil parents] and some are the victims of tsunami or nias tragedy. they are very young. Thinking back, i an very glad that my childhood was a nice and memorable one where i spent time wif my family and not alone. This home was used to be unknown. That time, the children left in a dilapidated house where they were crammed together and there was no enuf food to feed them, let alone clothing...[damn those corrupted politicians]. now its not that bad, i saw a lot of ppl donating food, clothes and books to them. there was even a couple donating a tv set to them on that very day. this kinda things are so much taken for granted by most of us, yet they are something luxurious to these kids. it maybe a 30-minute-visit, but it has deep impact in my life and the way i think now.

i watched the gospel of judas on national geog today. it was very unique in the sense that the kind of experience it furnished was totally different. since young, i was taught by my school that judas iskariot, often associate dto the jews, is the dosciple who betrayed Jesus. yet, the controversy lied in the fact that Judas was merely carrying out the order of Jesus to "betray" him and then commited suicide. Jesus wanted his soul to be freed from the imprisonment of his body and therefore set up this plot. I dunno this is accurate or not...but it told me the other possible side of the story "embellished" by the early church. As the saying goes, "what is history but a fable agreed upon?"[wah gp question =p] the discovery is substantial becoz Judas may be innocent all this while. But we will never know the truth becoz i wont know the originality of the codex pieced by the swiss archeologists. i reali wanna read the book!!!!

to me agmon[indon singer hu is the local britney===she doesnt even deserve to be compared wif brit cos she's copycat and full of bullshit and dance rigidly] is not agnes monica but agnes monyet. I dont know why my siblings actually bother to buy her album...it's like so poor in quality except songs written by melly and agmon's voice. otherwise the concept and everything are mimicked or stolen from somebody else's. i watched her new video clip today. The graphic and the quality are nice but tainted by someone inside. It's suppose to be a nice and worthy gal crying over her bf's death, but the image painted by the singer is so fake and so ah-lien with dyed hair. oh pleeaaasee!! i almost vomit!

it was SOOOOO fun, becoz i got to meet so many ppl and juniors. also, i got to make few friends. I reached there so early. b4 the whole thing started. My bro reached later. Then when the parade started, I saw Ms Kwan in her 'fruity dress' coz there are so many types of fruits and veggies. she was very cute haha...and ms Ng (Gp tutor for banding thingy) was sexy and she was dancing some indian dance.

I saw Bing qin and he told me that Ben is coming. I saw them under lt1 then when tutors were singing. Thanks to those paying them to sing, the money will go to school fund. I saw 2 IP juniors and the rest juniors. Got three medanese this yr in tj. For IP, there is no indon scholars this year, only prc. Must be becoz indon applying for schships last yr are generally lousy. haha...hu cares anyway? like my business.

I met few new indons and i patronised their stores. I bought drink and get temporary tatoo for 1 buck each...the tatoo didnt even last for 5 hrs btw. cheat my money yah! Then my friend forced me by her cookies, 3 for 1 buck and the cookies were very small, lucky it tasted good.

we wandered arnd and saw so many familiar faces. it was very nice to be back. miss those days in schools walking arnd like nobody's business, doing pe under hot sun, toking to tutors, visiting lib, doing tutorials =p, and joking wif frens.

then the mass dance came, but i didnt dance coz i am in no mood. I saw ppl dancing only some in skirts, piang! lots vjcians can dance ler, prolly 1st 3 mths in tj. some dance in a very funny way. haha...no words to describe the experience.

basically did nothing except gg to temple wif my bro and ate at this restaurant at tp mall. the service is quite good but there is room for improvement. they asked me if there's anything wrong or anything we want to complain, it's like wadeva. i dont want to waste my breath and energy. i almost put the store in my blacklist store

bangun telat dan segera ke kota pake kereta listrik. disana ketemu dua teman. rencananya mau makan sushi ato apa, change plan, jd nonton di cineleisure. lumayan bagus kok, cuma ada tuh satu org teriak trus, like seeking attention! then, dia hrs segera balik gak tau utk apa lar...she's super busy.

then i met my bro and i ate ice cream [hagen-d] and bought something since i'm gg bck home soon. have been busy packing since just now, my aunt's children busy playing maple stories.

wat's the problem yah?

yesterday, i spent many hours in TTSH wif my bro for his fractured arm. There are many complaints by the elderly that the service is slow and bad. One of them actually scolded the nurse

"doesn't mean that we come to this govt hospital, then it is justifiable that we shall get slow and inefficient service, very bad arh!!"

quite true lar, but wats the point of scolding them. They aint earnin alot rite. so if u scold them, will it speed up the thing? keep asking them will do, dats wat my bro do =p

then we went to orchard and eat at nydc and we met somebody lame funny and blur always. erlin asked me whether i want go and visit her frens, someone i dunno. weird lar

i called moe coz i wanna know how to apply for it, then they redirect me to somewhere else. I have to waste my money callin them just to be given a cold shoulder. The woman over the other side sounds irritated, then i purposely sighed loud enuf for her to hear and i emphasised every word i said. i think she's quite scared coz her tone change. good for her, poor service.

m1 is the other thing. though the staff is friendly, the comp is terrible. i didnt know my sunperks pts for the past 2 yrs have expired. cant they send me some warning for the expiry day? lucky i call in today asking for it. for my current 1, its gg to expire on the 31st April. see...lucky i call, if not m1 is gg to pretend nothing has happened. i always feel cheated for things i paid when shopping here. i got a lot of things to complain esp in the service industry. they want o earn ur bucks and irritates u at the same time. my mom and sis and bro are very displeased wif stores like guess, lv, levis, zara, and even taka department store. service in some indon malls can be better to tell u the truth.

but i must not forget to credit those helpful like thai express, lv in raffles place, tommy hilf, hmv, kinokuniya and coffee beans and starbucks and burger king. they did a hell of a good job.

wadeva the reason is, the one resp is always him.

he always justifies things, but never making sense, by any unscrupulous means he can think of.

the things he did always restrict ppl, including me, to do things our ways.

asking him to admit fault is like forcing the earth to rotate clockwise so that sun rises from the west and sets in the east.

he gives hope but takes it away immediately by any reasons possible, though preposterous.

he hardly exercise his own judgement and never takes priority in life. wat he cares is unimportant things and ppl.

nevertheless, i didn't hate him or pity him. i'm just numbed.

UPDATE AFTER LONG ABANDONMENT

erm...first person yg ucapakan slamat ultah was my bro. Then erlin smsed me, asking me whwn to treat her. i said kapan2 coz i'm quite busy and so is she. lol. if i have time yah...then come again sms from dav, sf and xl. even yl said slamat ultah yah thru msn. My sis and mom smsed me on the real day. see...so far only gals said slamat ultah. Then pria2 yg lagi bermain tentara2an forgot. I think dats the way guys work, I sometimes even forget, so I forgive. =p

[2nd interview]
ths happened on the 5th of april, one day after hari ultah gue. the chairman is nice. He did the talking all, so i just remain quite. he asked me whether i got questions, i asked some things not posted on the internet or something i cant find. i have told myself dont ask things that uve known or else they will think ure ignorant. He kept praising his female scholars like 2 ex-tjcians who got gpa 4.0 [both females] one of which will ring ur bell, tan rui zhen. she's going to mit btw, dats way they told me. From wat i heard, females are preferred ecer guys. don't know y also. but i think they are not dat interested in me lar.

[3rd rnd]
i have to wake up at 645 and reached the place at 855. I arrived early at 830 and so i slacked arnd. Then one guy from vj came. We sat for some tests. i didnt sleep well the other nite, so i was very blurred. The questions are tough only becoz calculator is not allowed.

then at 1145 things become more interesting. Out of 12 ppl who turned up, only 2 are from vj, 1 tj [me] and 1 acjc. The rest are either from rj or hc. They are nice ppl. There are 3 gals, one from vj [nice, cute] one from rj [nice, preety, smart look] and one from acjc[very chio ler and rich haha]. the one from acjc worked there as a scientist assistant and she's planning to go overseas even without schship. We have grp discussions which are very nice again and I forgot some imp terms, nvm...the ppl from rj and hc are smart as we know and they are really well-informed. And they are not snobbish too except one rjc who got ap. I dont talk to him at all exc askng his name.

Overall, good experience and i met good smart ppl. haha...btw one hc student like to curse and curse like the 4-letter-word. I think the rest of the students are preety shocked wif his word. but again, he's nice and he told me he like tjcians in their green u, coz they look cute. LOL

[movie]
i watched inside man just now. i seriously like the way jodie foster spoke english. The plot of the movie is nice, but the idea of dressing the hostages look alike to the culprits is the same as dat of v for vendette. Then cleverly, few of the robberers blend in the crowd smartly. there is some kinda twist in the show which makes the movie enjoyable. my rating is 4* out of 5.

[book]
i've read the da vinci code in like 2 days and i've learnt loads of new things and new perspectives of christianity. I keep recommending ppl to read but nvr read myself. haha...the things they decipher are so controversial and interesting. the maths like febucinni sequence is totally amazing and the divinity representative of PHI [which is one letter H more handsome than PI]. Overall, it's quite good and not at all surprisingly, it sold well in the world. My next book is the bourne ultimatum followed by prolly pride and prejudice or some other books. haha...bye2. have to cont. reading my books.

Imp things to note:
-Life is miserable, but always look at the bright side coz it might turn up to be a blessing in disguise
-miss the ppl i haven't been seeing. So tell wateva we feel to certain ppl b4 we lost the chance.

the past few days have not been meaningful to me except dat i went out wif my bro to orchard and city hall and other places. tomorrow is obviously monday, so he has gone back to hostel. I'm extremely bored now...

I have watched a few shows, ultraviolet and shaggy dogs from pirated disc. [sorry dat i have indirectly participated in killing creativity] Despite the fact dat i also bought v for vendetta [non-original], i went to watch wif my bro at cineleisure. He then bought a classical guitar for his cca coz he's in guitar club.

For these few days, i've been waking up late and sleeping late too. Mine you, singapore is rather boring lar. I didn't have many places to go. Besides, everybody is so busy working or doing army. I cannot wait to go back alredi and enjoy life back in indon.

[interview]
i reached there early and the interview was adjourned one hour later. all the ppl there were from rj, hci and only 2 from sajc. Btw, i didn't see any ppl from tjc too.

They asked a lot of mean questions but i answered them sincerely. I just don't like lying to them because this will undermine their selection criteria. I hope i'm happy and so they are. But with fierce competition, cannot expect much also. Overall, my interview is not as good as other interviews i have went thru' b4.
